Vera graduated as MSc in Biology in 1998 and obtained a certificate in Cellular Biotechnology in 1999, both at Leuven University.

After working for a year as lab technician at the molecular genetic pathology lab, she successfully obtained her PhD at Leuven University in 2004 and continued her research for another 2 years as a post-doc. Subsequently she was employed for about 13 years by Modis Life Sciences (formerly XPE Pharma & Science) providing services to GlaxoSmithKline Vaccines. First she started as a public disclosure writer/coordinator. Then she continued as a project manager being accountable for timely, ethical and transparent human subject research data disclosure in compliance with policy and regulations and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of experts across projects.

Vera joined P95 as Project Manager in March 2020.
